Summary
“What’s your name, gorgeous?” The man asks, still smiling. The question brings him back to the present. He hesitates.
“... Steve.”
The guy’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise. “Steve?”
“Yeah, Steve.” Soobin does his best to sound nonchalant and not defensive at all. “Something wrong with that name?”
“Nothing wrong with that name when it’s yours.” Okay maybe he does have some –rizz–, and damn it’s working. His cheeks must be an embarrassingly deep shade of pink right now.
“What’s your name then?” Soobin manages out, but it’s with effort.
He grins. “Daniel.”
OR: Soobin goes to the club for the first time in 7 years. There, he is swept off his feet by a stranger, or is he?

Summary
“I like it when you take care of me,” Yeonjun mumbles softly, words muffled with sleep. “It’s my favourite thing in the world.”
It’s just like Yeonjun to say things like that—skirting silly and sentimental in one breath like it’s nothing, as if it doesn’t flow into Soobin’s veins and shake his soul.
“I like it when you let me,” Soobin says, speaking to the darkness above them. How intimate it is—he realises—to be in Yeonjun’s bed after midnight in the dark, surrounded by lingering traces of his cologne, to sit in his bed as a welcome visitor and touch his hair in a way so many others have only fantasised about. It’s almost too much to have felt so close to Yeonjun all day, to have watched him fall apart and helped piece him back together, and Soobin wonders if these were all lines he shouldn’t have crossed because now everything between them feels different and though Soobin can’t pinpoint why, he can pinpoint exactly when.
Now.
Or: When Yeonjun's first relationship comes to a mysterious end, Soobin revisits feelings he thought he buried a long, long time ago.

Summary
“Touch me.” Yeonjun forced out with immense effort.
Soobin tilted his head, features highlighted by the soft blue lighting. Yeonjun wanted to believe he wasn’t a threat. Wanted to believe he wouldn’t hurt him.
“Are you sure?” Soobin replied.
Yeonjun nodded. He wasn’t sure but that’s why he needed to do it. Because he was scared, and he would never get over his fear by running away. He had done enough running.
“Prove to me that you’re safe.” he breathed.Yeonjun finds himself Captaining a relief mission to Terra 3, a failing colony, that has the bloody fingerprints of the Union all over it. Yeonjun realizes his path to personal destruction has four unexpected victims. As the safety of his crew is compromised and they are crippled from the inside, Yeonjun must confront his own demons.

Soobin swears.
All idols wear soulbands around their wrists to hide their soulmate’s name: as idols there’s an expectation to be single and appear forever-attainable so that their fans can wonder what name is written on their wrist and believe that there’s a chance it could be their own.
Soobin gave up on a future with a soulmate when he became an idol. He never expected to get a soulmark — and then he did.
