Summary
A normal college student by day and a kickass, glowing hands superhero by night, Nini Salazar-Roberts could not be more exhausted. Between juggling school and her superhero partner Orion’s terrible jokes, Nini’s life couldn’t be more difficult, especially because she’s been in love with her best friend Ricky Bowen since she could remember. However, when a new super villain comes to town, Nini has to foil their plans and save New York City... with the help of Orion, of course.

“Interesting.” he responds. “Wanna talk about that over dinner?”
Nini doesn’t reply until the small storefront is adequately tidied, and they’ve notified local law enforcement.

Except it's kind of hard to ignore him when their best friends are married and they're the godparents of the most adorable child in the world. When tragedy hits, Nina and Ricky learn how to work together and take care of their goddaughter, maybe-also-kinda-sorta learning more about each other along the way.

“I’m the godfather, dumbass, of course I’m going to be here.” It was his turn to roll his eyes, waving his gift in front of her face. It was a (surprisingly) nicely wrapped gift, probably a teddy bear knowing Bowen. “It’s her first birthday, and I do love her. And her parents, AKA my best friends. Where’s your present, godmother Nina?”
He drew out her name mockingly, like "Ni-Nuh", and she gave him a tight smile. She pointed at the wicker basket of nicely folded clothes and the other basket of cupcakes and treats. “The cake is in my car,” she told him smugly.
“Fucking show-off."
