Summary
Exhaustion sweeps through him so strongly it almost brings him to his knees. He is rainsoaked. Drained not only by his battle and Osial but with the knowledge that he now holds a year’s worth of false memories, of lies and deceit.
He is so very tired.
“I’ve met two Archons,” he mumbles to the statue, “and I do have to ask. Are you all so cavalier with your pawns?”
The loss of the Geo gnosis awakens Zhongli’s latent instincts. Childe is left to deal with the fallout of it.

Summary
Zhongli smiles at Childe as he approaches. His cigarette dangles from his fingers, but he makes no move to light up, not yet. “Need a break from it all?”
His smile sets Childe’s stomach aflutter. His mind feels hazy, good, and he flicks his gaze away from Zhongli’s face only to look back a moment later. Kaeya’s lighter bites into his hand as he turns it over once, twice, until he thinks his voice will be steady.
“Yeah,” he says, and he’s proud to note that his voice does not waver.
Childe approaches Zhongli at a party. Things go from there.

Summary
The crowd parts for him like water, and it takes mere minutes for Zhongli to find the man from before. This close, he is more youth than man, lean yet well-formed. He clearly doesn’t belong. His suit is wrinkled and ill-fitting. His ginger hair is untamed. His movements are jerky, like he is prey. Like he is unfamiliar with his own body.
He startles as Zhongli places a hand on his shoulder. Up close, his eyes are lightless, blown wide by innocence and fear. His mouth parts on a gasp. No warmth seeps from his body.
“Are you lost?” Zhongli asks, pitching his voice low.
The appearance of a newly turned vampire is both alarming and strange, and Zhongli is determined to discern the meaning of his presence.

Summary
It’s taken him several months of being back in Snezhnaya to fully realize what plagues him so. He’s homesick. Homesick for the drowsy warmth of Liyue. For its unfrozen lakes, its sandy shoals. For Xiangling’s cooking.
He misses the lazy evenings with Zhongli. Misses trading tea for baiju at the Third Round Knockout as they drink down whatever tale is told that night. He misses Zhongli’s cluttered, chaotic apartment and the space he’s carved there for himself.
Back at Zapolyarny Palace, Childe mourns the better days in Liyue. Zhongli offers him a reprieve from the endless meetings.

“What on…” Tartaglia frowns a little. “Zhongli?”
“Come in!” Comes Zhongli’s answer, muffled. “The door is unlocked.”
Tartaglia grins. Laughs a little to himself and opens the door. The handle is freezing in his grip, and he quickly goes in, dragging his suitcase behind him.
“Oh…”
The smell of home hits Tartaglia so suddenly that his eyes water. He stands in the hallway, frozen. Lets his suitcase lean against the wall and takes a moment.
- When Ajax returns to Liyue on business and cuts time with his family short, he doesn't expect Zhongli to cook meals from home to ease his homesickness. Perhaps there is more to this reuniting than what meets the eye.

“Distract me.” Sighed out upon the corner of Zhongli’s mouth. Childe indulges in the rocking of hips. Allows his head to tip back to the cushions, laying his throat bare for Zhongli to take. “These thoughts are nothing you haven’t heard before.”
- After dreaming of Morepesok, Childe finds himself homesick, and Zhongli knows just the cure to ease the ache.
