Summary
A “what happened after the movie” slow burn, alternating between Bruce & Edward’s points of view. Gotham is in distress and disarray after the flood, a botched mayoral inauguration, and the murder of Carmine Falcone. There’s more than enough to attempt to handle, but Bruce just can’t seem to move on from the Riddler— not that the city would allow him to. Citizens are more distrustful and radicalized than ever, and the pressure is on. But what happens when he gets too deep? Who else do you turn to when no one else understands?

Summary
In the aftermath of the Riddler, Bruce tries his best to clean up Gotham and himself. Bloodying his hands even further along the way isn't part of the plan. Neither is throwing away everything he has, just to get his hands on the one thing he's not supposed to want.
