Connor knew he couldn't keep doing this, it wasn't a healthy way of coping but it had been the only way he had used for so long. The pain brought relief and that is all he so desperately needed. No matter how hard he tried to think otherwise, block out his father’s voice he felt stupid, he knew he was stupid, nothing could now convince him otherwise.
