“Oh.. shit,” Heeseung’s face fell upon the first millisecond of eye contact. He instantly hid his rose and stood stiffly like a ruler, “You’re not – this – this is not the right locker, and you are definitely not – oh god – “
That was a reaction Jake wasn’t particularly fond of. If there was one thing that could absolutely crush Jake, it was that.
As much as Jake likes Heeseung, the ace of his senior class, he knows he doesn’t have much of a chance.
But when Heeseung confuses Jake's locker for his crush’s locker, and accidentally uses a cheesy pick up line on him, Jake's chances are no longer slim.

It was the way that when he happened to smell someone’s perfume, he would think how annoying it was that this scent wasn’t a nice balance between sweetness and warmth like the one Sunghoon always used. Or when he saw someone wearing white shirt tucked in grey trousers, he’d conclude that the combo looked good only because Sunghoon was wearing them. When he went to a coffeeshop on a Friday afternoon, eavesdropping on other people’s conversations, he’d wish Sunghoon was there to tell silly jokes and make up a whole background story for these people that was too far-fetched to be true.
Then Sunoo realized that, regardless of how much he wanted not to believe in love, or how many times he wondered to himself if he’d ever find “the one”, and how much he was disillusioned by the unfortunate circumstances he'd witnessed, he still yearned for someone else. Even if he had repeated to himself, from the very first moment, that love was never really an option for them.
That was the tragedy. On his way to deny love as an existence, he lost himself in it.
