After surviving Halloween of '81 and losing almost everyone he's ever loved in such a short time period James makes an impulsive decision and obliviates himself of everyone including Remus, the only one he has left. They meet back up in a bookshop and their "new" growing friendship sets the Earth off its axis. At least for Remus.
