Still, he protests, “I can’t believe I have to touch her,” before following the directions of his father. Because yeah, she’s gross and the worst, so why should Derek need to touch Casey? Just because she’s pretty and his stepsister?
“Keep it rated G,” Casey grits out, glaring. “If I so much as sense the desire to do more than a G-rated slow dance, I will castrate you.”
“Oh, Casey,” Derek says, cautiously putting his hands on her hips. “If you meant that, you wouldn’t have been checking me out all day.” She looks so mad, putting her arms around his neck in a move that may be interpreted as attempting to murder him, or trying to pull him closer. Derek’s guessing the latter. “It’s okay. I’ll let you in on a secret: I’ve been thinking of pulling you into that empty side room and shoving you up against the wall since you walked down the aisle.”(or: Derek and Casey fuck in a church on George and Nora's wedding day. This is definitely not going to set a precedent for future problems.)

"It's Sam. He hasn't done anything and that's the problem." When she says it, it sounds absolutely stupid. Maybe this whole thing is. "I like him, I really do. He's sweet and funny and charismatic and cute, but. I don't know, there's something wrong. And isn't that stupid? You'd think Sam would be my Prince Charming! He fits all of the qualities, and he treats me well, so why doesn't it feel right?"
Briefly, the thought of Derek, who's not her Prince Charming, who's not even close to being a knight, let alone a prince, flickers through her mind.(or: Casey and Sam are having... difficulties in the bedroom. Derek's been helping. Rewrite of 2.03 of Life With Derek.

"I hate you," Derek says, scoffing as he walks to the ring area. Someone here has to be productive, and it will evidently not be his friends. "I'm under strict instructions here, guys. Focus.
