His eyes, though mesmerizing, hold the knowledge of countless secrets and the weight of countless sins. And his claws, hidden beneath the veneer of sophistication, are a reminder of the predatory nature that lurks beneath the surface.
In any other circumstance, your every instinct would scream at you to flee from this creature, to despise him for the torment he has wrought upon Barovia. You should hate him with every fiber of your being.
But as Strahd nestles his face into the crook of your neck, a rush of cold breath caressing your skin, something within you stirs. It's a sensation you can't deny, a strange and unsettling allure that defies reason. His proximity, his touch, seem to awaken an inexplicable trust within you, a trust that goes against every rational thought.
His question lingers in the air, and with a sense of resignation, you find yourself uttering the words:
"I do."
