Summary
Thorin is an Arnor police officer who is trying to take down the most corrupt man in the city- good ole Smaugikins (not that anyone calls him that to his face, mind, but the graffiti is getting pretty suggestive) when he is strongarmed (by a supposedly sick Dís) into attending his nephews' elementary school play. Though the play should surely be classified as torture, Thorin meets a delightful woman, Ms. Bella Baggins, the school librarian, and asks her out to dinner.
In step a meddlesome (as always) Gandalf, precocious children, Smaug, and an existentialist fake mountain. Things go downhill from there.Or: Thorin and Bella are adorable, the kids find their inner thespians, Bella loses a cardigan, and thieving abounds.

Summary
Long ago, the most successful pirate family established their power seat on the Lonely Island on the sleeping volcano of Erebor. The Lonely Island, and its trade city of Dale, was the center of all maritime and commerce trade in the north. King Thror had the largest treasury of gold and jewels in the Caribbean, and was both a savage pirate and savvy businessman. However, his family's wealth caught the attention of a man in the Mordor Trading Company, Commodore Smaug.
So Thorin, the dispossessed heir to the pirate kingdom, sets out with his loyal crew to retake Erebor. Only they find themselves in need of an experienced burglar. A burglar who has fooled polite society into believing she is the well behaved heiress. Lady Isabella Baggins has retired from the life of crime, and it will take an act of God, or more accurately, an act of her meddlesome Pirate Lord of a godfather to get her on this quest. -

Summary
Set in modern times, Thorin Oakenshield is the disgruntled heir to the banking conglomerate Erebor Inc that has been taken over by Mr. Smaug of DragonFire (We burn up the competition). He is in need of a code breaking burglar which he finds in the reluctant form of Beatrice Baggins. She agrees to this insane adventure as long as she can make snarky comments the whole way and be a general pain in his ass.

Bilba Baggins has been having trouble sleeping lately but things are starting to look up when she finally finds a moment to herself in a secluded corner on one of the quiet floors of the university library.
It's the perfect time and place for a nap.
Or rather, it had been perfect until she was rudely awakened from her little siesta by the sound of dozens of books crashing simultaneously to the floor all because of some bumbling oaf in the stacks.

Summary

She held on tight, kissed his brow, and thought about the rebuilding of the north wall.
Arwen and Luthien both had been asked to choose between peace and creation; eternal light, or lighting the flame themselves. They were Prometheus, the titan descended to earth. Every death they pulled out of Arwen was worth it for the things she got to build.

Thorin Durinson, head of Durinson & Company, an architectural firm specializing in environmentally responsible design and restoration, focuses all his creative abilities on his work and his affection on his family and old friends. And then one grey day, a woman in a red coat literally walks into his life, and just like that, everything changes.
Inspired by a prompt from lostunderthemountain on Oct. 11th, based on this gorgeous photoset.

lostunderthemountain: OH! Modern AU in New York: Thorin Durinson is the is the Head of a global company that is continually under threat from Smaug’s (cause like they differ on many opinions or something….).
Anyway, one morning he’s getting out of a taxi outside of the company’s building when he catches sight of one Miss Bella Baggins (not that he knows her name) and instantly his world freezes…until Fili shoves him to try to get him to move…

When Harry was two and Vernon Dursley bought Dudley a toy car and Harry a fast food meal with a toy with parts he could choke on Petunia packed her things and got a divorce.
