“Apo! Apo, look!”
A young girl with long, thick, dark hair ran through a flower filled meadow towards another girl reading a book beneath a large oak tree.
“Cherri!” The other girl cried in glee. She threw the book aside and leapt up to greet her newfound friend with open arms.
The shorter of the two launched herself into the taller girl’s arms, and was spun around and around by her friend, before being set gently on the ground.
“Apo, look!” Cherri, who had been clutching something close to her chest, opened her fist to reveal a shining, uncut red stone. It sparkled the colour of blood in the morning sun, and Apo watched agape as the light danced over the raw edges.
or, my take on what happens on the boat between cherri's backstory animatic and the events of bannerfall. also theres flashbacks because i am SELF INDULGENT. deal with it :DD
