t's not a secret that Raj and Howard's had something between them. He's heard jokes about it from all: friends, parents, heck, even from Howard and himself. It's not like they were ever a 'thing', in the sense that they were ever in a relationship, but he's seen the way Howard looks at him, and he damn well knows that he feels so completely different about Howard than he could ever feel about Sheldon or Leonard or Penny.
And then Bernadette showed up. And that brought up a whole new roster of feelings.
Bernadette was... perfect. She was beautiful, funny, smart, insightful, witty – as much as Howard was. Of course, he'd had instantly fell in love, and it was clear that she'd shared that sentiment to him, too. They were a match made in heaven. And as Raj watched as they clicked together like two matching puzzle pieces, he wonders if his and Howard's puzzle piece had matched. Oddly enough, he wonders if his and Bernadette's matched, too.

Max arches a brow. “Carlton, though? You two are dating and you don’t even kiss? Is it just a preference thing?”
Will sighs, resigned. He drops his hands. “Okay. Honestly?” He hesitates, then shrugs. “He was a bad kisser. And I just… couldn’t get excited around him. At all.”
The reaction is immediate and merciless. Dustin makes a dramatic gagging noise. El gasps like she’s been handed gossip gold. Lucas high-fives Max, shaking her hand in his.
Mike doesn’t say anything. He just watches Will, watches the way he shrugs it off, the way he laughs a little too loud, the way his ears go red.
Or, Will's new boyfriend is a bad kisser. Mike thinks it's a crime that no one has kissed Will properly. He's on a goal to change that, Carlton be damned.

He had been chained to a moment he tried to erase from existence, tried with every fiber of his being to rewrite into something he could understand and allow to exist. But this memory hung around him like a towering shadow, casting him into a darkness he had to claw his way out of. A darkness that still sticks to him like wet clothes after a rainstorm, not quite chains anymore but instead a soft chill that has settled deep in his bones. A memory with a secret that sits heavy on his tongue. A secret never before spoken that is now sitting loosely against his lips, threatening to take flight at any moment. He was changed irreparably and everything he had thought he had known, about his life and himself, all changed in one single moment. In one memory. In a goodbye.
