Shuugo hesitates for a moment. "Have ya heard about the divorce?"
There's no judgment or pity in Osamu's eyes, only a quiet understanding that somehow feels more significant than any platitude could be.
"I heard from 'Tsumu. Are ya doing okay?"
"Part of me is relieved to no longer be living a lie," Shuugo admits, the words coming out in a rush, as if a dam has finally broken. "The other part is just... empty. Drifting without a map."
Osamu watches him, a thoughtful expression on his face. He leans against the counter, arms crossed.
"Maybe drifting is exactly what ya need right now," he says gently. "Sometimes ya have to get lost before ya can figure out where ya're supposed to go."
"The problem is that I know exactly where I want to go," Shuugo says, his gaze direct, unflinching. "But I'm not sure if that's a place I'm welcome."

It keeps happening, it turns into a habit. Kiyoomi keeps kissing him and Atsumu keeps letting him. During practice, when he’s lashing out, Kiyoomi’s first instinct is to shut him up with a kiss and Atsumu melts against him, he always does.
