Post 6x18 Vampire Jemily AU.
In this world, Emily and JJ have been on and off as a couple since 3x17. Their most recent breakup results in JJ leaving to work for the 'State Department,' and they haven't seen each other since then. Emily goes off to face Doyle alone, and she ends up in the hospital. While she's clinging to life, Emily Prentiss is visited by an old friend who changes her life forever. She's been turned into a vampire. When she wakes from her coma, she struggles with her newly heightened abilities, overwhelming bloodlust, and the terrifying possibility of hurting the people she loves. She learns to control her new powers (with help, of course). When Emily boards the jet to Paris, her newfound control is put to the test.

“Emily? Are you in there?” JJ asks, unsurprised to hear her own voice wavering slightly. Still, no response comes, and the silence threatens to crush her beneath its weight. “It’s me, baby. Are you alright?” She speaks again, resting her ear against the door in an attempt to listen for movement on the other side. “Honey, I need you to open the door.” The blonde says, praying to every god she doesn't believe in that Emily is okay on the other side.
A moment of suffocatingly still silence follows JJ’s request, but eventually, Emily's whispered response makes its way to the blonde’s ears. “She… she won’t go away.”

Emily and JJ have been dating for six months, but Emily still hasn't told JJ about her hallucinations. One day, when Emily runs out of her medication, the choice is taken out of her hands.
