Summary
The year is 1956 and Ianto is a struggling engineer, living alone in Cardiff. When he meets Captain Jack Harkness (who, really, is too young and attractive to be as old as any other veteran RAF Captain), he starts to learn about things about the world- the universe he finds fascinating, things he never would have known had Jack not stepped into his life, looking for help.

But he tried not to think about it.

She didn’t feel anything for the fact that she was wasting her youth feeling numb and she didn’t feel anything for how no one even looked at her. She didn’t feel for pretty much anything. A lot of this is my inner hatred for CoE and especially for how Jack's character was written in terms of friendships/relationships. It just gets on my nerves.
