Summary

Summary
Now complete!
The first time it happened was completely by accident.
Post-Reichenbach, John finds a way to hold on to Sherlock after all.
Prepare yourself for 1.) angst 2.) plot 3.) smut 4.) more smut 5.) even more smut 6.) more plot 7.) happy ending. But, in apparently WAY too many chapters. If you're worried about the graphic violence / torture, be aware it's limited to Chapter 30. Probably canon-typical, but I'd rather over-warn than under-warn.
Here's an excerpt, just to give you hope through the angsty first few chapters:
"I am going to seduce you, Sherlock Holmes," he rumbled into Sherlock's ear, smiling as Sherlock's breath grew unsteady again. "Not because you need it, but because you deserve it. We both do." He gave Sherlock a squeeze. "Trust me?"
Sherlock's head lifted, those uncanny pale eyes looking at John with complete sincerity. "I've always trusted you, John."
John felt the last bit of tension leaving his shoulders. "Good." He kissed Sherlock one more time, swift and soft — a promise. "That's good."

Summary
“Christ, Sherlock, what’s happened?”
The detective’s eyes are red-rimmed, blown wide to combat the urge to squint (a measure to preserve Sherlock’s dignity, John is certain—at least what dignity is left). His hair is more than messy, it’s littered with tiny knots all along the lines of his temples. He’s clean, at least, so he must have showered, but the hem on the bottom of his vest is partially unravelled.
“Sherlock—”
“Nothing’s happened. I’m just tired.”
Sherlock has always had trouble sleeping; he hasn't always had someone in his life willing to help.
