My throat tightens. "Does that mean there's something wrong? Are you sick?"
Rocky makes a gesture I usually interpret as "not exactly". "Not sick," he says. "But doctors still worry. When Eridian start to make fewer eggs, this usually means laying period of life is over soon. Rocky very young for this. Rocky supposed to be in ideal time of life for laying. Rocky younger than Adrian, even." He shifts on three of his feet. Already, my mind is racing ahead, wondering -- "Doctors told Rocky to ask Grace, is this radiation side effect, question?"

Grace's mouth, still smushed against my xenonite, curves upward: Contentment, happiness, satisfaction. Interesting, that it should be prone to smiling when made stupid by ethanol, but not so much when it gets stupid because of a lack of sleep.
“‘s called a kiss, buddy. I‘m givin’ you. A kiss. ‘cause you're my best friend annnnd I like you. And y’nno what, you're actually pretty nice. When you’re not goin’ outta your way to be mean to me, that is.”

Summary
In hindsight, Grace could very easily realize just how he accidently led Rocky down the path of thinking that humans were amphibians.
However, in his defense when you spend almost 4 years in a cramped spaceship with no proper showers or baths- the idea of going swimming starts to sound absolutely heavenly.
Otherwise known as: 7 times that the Eridians thought that Grace was an amphibian, and the one time he finally found out why there are so many water features in his enclosure.

After Catching up to Rocky, hopes are High. With the promise of going to Erid Ryland Grace feels good about life for the first time in a while.
However, after crash landing the Hail Mary on a planet that he has no clue existed or how he even got there, he runs into a unexpected Mandalorian, who happened to be doing a Job in the area. A bounty that will reward him well.
Both know nothing about each other, Rocky is missing and Grace is a mess. But maybe this mess will bring them closer
