Summary
Nearly a year after saving the world from Maruki's reality, the former Phantom Thieves gather in Tokyo to celebrate New Years during a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower that illuminates the city sky with shooting stars. What unfolds shortly after proves that the Thieves still have some unfinished business when a new form of the Metaverse appears, curiously called the Metatheater, where the Phantom Thieves are told not to steal any treasures or take anyone's hearts, but to unmask one another instead in one-on-one "performances" that get surprisingly serious when the Thieves are told the winner will be able to use a fallen star to make one wish.
At the center of it all, the former leader continues to dance around his own feelings.

Summary
Goro instantly concocts three options in his head when his co-worker thrusts two tickets to the aquarium in his face. He could (a) accept, but throw the tickets in the garbage the moment he’s out of sight; (b) deny him outright, saying he has no time either and to give them to someone who could make good use of them; or (c) accept them and actually take another person to look at some fish in an oversized tank.
Option A is looking to be the most promising.

He grabbed ahold of his beloved’s wrist, pulling himself toward the witch and wrapping Goro in his embrace, clutching him tightly, afraid he would lose him again. He opened his mouth to speak once more, his words becoming lost in the vast ocean, yet the two of them heard it loud and clear;

Summary
The other humans call him Joker. The shadows whisper the names Trickster and Wild Card frequently enough that the words ingrain themselves into the walls of Mementos itself.
