Eddie calls a sex hotline out of curiosity and meets Evan. The two connect as friends, but as they grow closer, Eddie can’t help but want more. As Eddie starts his new life in LA, he is inspired by Evan to create a world for himself instead of following the path he always believed he should.
Takes place from mid-academy to Eddie’s first months on the job, including finally meeting Evan (Buck) face-to-face at work.

“My name. It’s Husk,” the cat, Husk said while he still had his back towards Angel. “And feel free to come up here and watch me while I make you that drink.” He then looked back at him with a slight smile on his face, “I won’t bite.”
“But I might,” Angel breathed out without even realizing it.

“Okay, that’s it. I’m calling 9-1-1.”
“You’re a medic, Eddie!” Buck practically yelled, eyes widening. “We’ve both dealt with dislocated shoulders before, just—mmh—immobilize it and drive me to the ER yourself!”
But Eddie had already reached for his phone and dialed the number.
“I’m going to kill you,” Buck muttered, a threat that would’ve been much more convincing if his entire arm wasn’t out of commission. Instead, it was actually kind of endearing. Buck sighed, resigned to his fate. “Now I have blue balls and a dislocated shoulder,” he said forlornly.
Or, 5 times the 118 responds to sex-related calls and the 1 time Buck and Eddie have an accident of their own.
