“Everyone in Capitol City, Panem knew the story: In 1996, 24 of Capitol Academy’s brightest youth got onto a plane for the National Speech & Debate Convention. The plane crashed 300 miles off course, stranding them in the Canadian wilderness for 19 months. Of the 24, only 8 were found at rescue.
Among them, Coriolanus Snow: Star student of the academy, recipient of the Plinth Prize Scholarship, and heir to Snow and now, the Plinth family fortune. The Snow name has been a part of Capitol City’s elite for generations, after the tragic deaths of both their parents, Coriolanus and Tigris, remain the last two of the Snow’s great dynasty. Before the accident, Coriolanus was known as a model student, co-captain of the debate team, and a leader to his peers. But now, 3 years after rescue? Where is Coriolanus Snow?”Coriolanus tore his eyes away from Capitol Digest’s newest hit article, sighing and throwing the magazine on the marble countertop: Jesus, not this again.

It’s comical . . . at least, until opening night.
Sejanus plays Rocky in a local production of the Rocky Horror Show. His boyfriend, Coriolanus, thinks it’s stupid, until he doesn’t.

Before Coryo could repeat his words louder, Mrs. Plinth lightly tapped Sejanus on the shoulder. He turned abruptly, looking at her with wide eyes, and then turned to Coryo, seeing his extended hand. Sejanus smiled kindly and finally shook his hand but said nothing. He opened the backpack on his lap, took out a notebook and a pen. Coriolanus frowned. What the hell...? The boy seemed focused as he wrote in the notebook before finally turning it to Coryo.
Or: there's a new boy in class and Coriolanus is responsible for him. The first problem is that the boy is District. The second one is that he's deaf.
