    Summary

Life is hard, life is unfair. You do everything right, and your body still fails to do its main purposes on it's own. Time ticks by and things just don't get better, you never get used to the needles, the numbers, the temptation to fall into childlike innocence when you know you can never be a normal kid again.

    Or

    Mikey gets diabetes.

    Summary

Baron Draxum at some point started to see the turtles less as rogue creations turned allies, and more as children he did in fact play a significant part in creating. Trying to form bonds with them and be in their lives is a bit complicated with their history however. Plus, he has one hell of a co-parenting situation to navigate if he wants to try.

    Or

Four times Baron Draxum managed to be a good father to the boys, plus once when he was a pretty decent co-parent to Splinter.

    Summary

Art block is bad enough on its own, but it's infinitely worse during the middle of an alien invasion.

Or alternatively: Mikey takes years to figure out what to put on that accursed last page of his sketchbook. (Maybe it's more than just a little art block, in the end.)
