“i’m trying to do my job.” richie snapped as he gave max a seething glare, and he immediately broke eye contact to focus on making sure the wound was no longer bleeding. “something that you seem to complain about me not doing often enough that i’d thought you’d at least be grateful.”
he shook his head and sighed when he realised the wound was no longer bleeding, and he rummaged through his waist pack before huffing out quietly. he had run out of needles for sewing up stab wounds and other cuts, and so he would have to go ask somebody else for theirs—knowing he’d get a no, since they were all running out of supplies.
“i’m sorry,” max whispered.

max would easily argue that the sight of her just having woken up was more beautiful. they had showered and gotten dressed before going to bed, as max didn’t want her to fall asleep all sticky from her release, and she had stolen his high school football jersey and a pair of boxers to wear as her pyjamas for the night. her brown hair was even more unruly than it usually was, almost sticking up in a few places—in the sunlight, her warm brown eyes were almost amber, and her skin was golden and gorgeous against the nave blue of his jersey.

the light pink shade of her dress contrasted wonderfully against the tone of her skin, and her hair fell in gentle waves to frame her face. stephanie hadn’t done much to her face in terms of makeup but it was still different from what grace was used to, which was no makeup at all, and she felt her spine straightening up just a bit as she locked eyes with herself in the mirror.
she looked...hot.
“max is gonna lose it when he sees me, isn’t he?” grace breathed out as she touched her fingertips to her cheek, and stephanie laughed before patting her on the shoulder.
“oh, absolutely."
[it's the third date grace and max have been on, and while she knows that max won't rush her into anything, she's ready to take the next step in their relationship.]
