the bad kids were a great adventuring party, adaine thought. not only did they work well together in combat, but they were always there for each other—if one of them was going through a hard time, the others were there for them even if comforting was their weak point (cough fabian cough). they were the best friends that adaine could have ever asked for in her life, and she wouldn't trade them for anything else.
sometimes, however, they were so infuriatingly oblivious that adaine wanted to strangle all of them.

oisin swallowed heavily at her words, and adaine was suddenly hit with the knowledge that she said something she probably shouldn’t have. instead of calling her out on it, however, the dragonborn simply took a long gulp of his drink in one go. adaine shifted slightly on her feet before shoving a hand in her jacket pocket, not sure if she wanted to get into this conversation at the bar.
he had flirted with her at a house party, had made her feel wanted for the first time in her life, and then had turned out to be part of the bad guys attempting to resurrect a dead god only to kill her to put a wannabe in her place instead.

kestis took a long moment before he stood back up and stepped into bode’s personal space, much closer than a handshake usually needed, and bode swallowed the gasp of surprise as freckled, calloused fingers curled around his hand. the sith’s hold was firmer than he had anticipated, but bode wasn’t about to argue as he revelled in the way their hands fit together.
