Summary
Buck didn’t expect a warm welcome when he returned to the 118 after the lawsuit, but he also didn't think his teammates’ anger would last forever. When months go by and Buck is still all but invisible to the team, he decides that everyone would be less miserable if he worked anywhere else.
But leaving the 118 behind is no easy feat, and Buck isn’t sure if he can fully let go of the people he loves…especially his partner and his favorite kid. Sometimes life is about making the right connection with the right person at exactly the right time. Finding Bobby after his relapse following the plane crash and deciding to step in and support him is precisely that kind of moment for both Hen and Buck. For Hen, it brings clarity about how to deal with Eva pushing herself back into her life, and for Buck, it brings friendships and support he wasn’t even aware he needed.

Summary
Following Bobby’s death and the Season 8 finale, Buck starts to develop some worsening pain in his bad leg. He ignores it, at first, the pain always comes and goes after all.
Though when he finally gets to the doctor and gets diagnosed with cancer, his situation really hits him. He really doesn’t have anyone right now and is going through it.
