"Are you a fire..firefighter?" the kid, Christopher asks, eyes taking in his shirt.
"I am! I work for the Los Angeles Fire Department. I have been a firefighter for about a year," he says, crossing the room in two strides, looking at the dad who is smiling at him. "I'm Buck. And who might you be? Luke Skywalker?"
A loud laugh comes from the child, and he knows why Mallory said he was a ray of sunshine. Kids were usually sullen after surgery, especially after what kind of surgery Christopher might have had.
"No! I'm Christopher!" the kid giggles, a bright smile on his face.

“He’s a bit tied up at the moment,” Buck replies when she pushes past him only to stop and stare where Eddie was tied up. “As I said, he’s tied up at the moment. Now please go so I continue showing Eddie that he’s mine.”

Eddie Diaz has loved Evan Buckley a long time. After a short stint of being friends with benefits, Eddie decides to take the leap, asks Buck to marry him and wants to have his child. When they tell Eddie's parents, things cascade in ways they didn't expect. His parents have other plans though, plans to break Buck and Eddie up. Eddie won't let that happen.
All Eddie wants to do is live his life with his boys and eventually be pregnant. Is that too much to ask of the universe?
"You think you have control over me but you don’t. We moved in together, we are getting married and Buck is adopting Christopher. And we have plans to have more children next year. What more do you want?"
"For you to marry a good Catholic woman! Get her pregnant after you marry!" Ramon yells and his mother agrees.
"Yeah, no. I want to carry my own child, bond with them. And I want that with Buck. Consider this your warning: Don't try to impose your ridiculous beliefs on me or Christopher. You aren't invited to the wedding, nor will you be having any contact with Christopher after this conversation. If you decide to come out here and pester us, I will file a restraining order."
