Summary
Something in Eddie’s brain screeches to a halt. “You and Ravi slept together?”
“This isn’t some Buck 1.0 thing, I swear,” Buck insists in a rush. “I know it’s not...it’s not good, sleeping with a coworker, but we were all celebrating him joining A-shift and we’d both had a lot to drink and it just...happened. It wasn’t anything serious, not anything we have to, you know, fill out paperwork about. Obviously, if this had happened when he was a probie, I never would have forgiven myself, like that would be a serious abuse of power. I mean, I know I have seniority and I am a few years older than he is, so maybe it’s still like...not okay, like there’s some power imbalance there, but I mean...once you leave school, how often do you even meet someone who is exactly the same age as you are?”
Buck is clearly spiraling, and Eddie is shell-shocked, and all he can think is ‘I am exactly the same age as you are.’ He doesn’t know why his brain has decided this fact is important.

Summary
Buck figured the feelings would go away eventually. They always did, whether he wanted them to or not. And this time he wanted them to. Needed them to, really. There was too much at stake, and he refused to risk the most important relationship in his life. Relationships, actually.
Christopher might not be his biological child, but for all intents and purposes, he was. Buck had never loved anyone the way he loved Chris. He would lay his life on the line without even thinking twice for that kid.
He couldn’t jeopardize his relationship with Chris just because he realized he had a silly crush on his father.
Because that's what it was, a CRUSH, not love... Even his subconscious knew that was bullshit.
OR
Buck and Eddie are both hopelessly in love with each other, but of course it's never that simple.

Summary
“Who’s this?” asks the stranger. The audacity. Eddie should be the one asking that.
“Oh, uh,” Buck swallows. “This is Eddie, and Chris,”
“This is Eddie…” the stranger doesn’t sound pleased.
“And Chris,” Eddie adds. “And you are?”
“Edward,” Buck says. “My, my date.”
Eddie’s stomach sinks.
“I told you this shouldn’t have been a surprise.” Chris says, slightly embarrassed.
No. Absolutely not. Eddie hasn’t gone through a gut wrenching month of trying to figure out his life—his sexuality—only for the love of his life to be on a date as soon as things start to get better. He’s moved across states twice in the same goddamn month just to keep the two halves of his heart close, for god’s sake. He might not financially recover from this, but he refuses to take an emotional hit at the same level. Besides, what kind of name is Edward?

Summary
Eddie is in the process of selling his house in Los Angeles before moving to El Paso with Christopher. During a visit from potential buyers, Buck unexpectedly shows up wearing his famous pink cardigan. One of the buyers, Alex, seems a little too interested in Buck, making Eddie visibly uncomfortable and jealous—though he denies it. Buck, always perceptive, teases him about his reaction.
Two weeks later, Eddie and Buck stand in front of the house, now officially Buck’s. Before leaving, Eddie promises Buck that he will always answer his calls and messages, no matter the time or distance. Buck, though skeptical, accepts the promise. Finally, Eddie gets into his truck and drives away, leaving his home behind but knowing that a part of him will always remain in Los Angeles.

Summary
“Buck…” It was off his tongue like he was reciting a prayer, like Buck was a saint, and Eddie a sinner begging for a chance for redemption.
Buck’s eyes were wide, his mouth hung open a little, and then he swallowed and sucked in a harsh breath. “Eddie?” Buck said his name like it was the melody to a sad song, like it was the minor key, and a sorrowful poem that shook apart nations. Eddie wanted to fling himself at him, wanted to throw his body with the faith that Buck would catch him, and he wanted to kiss him until he couldn’t breathe anymore. He hadn’t realized his empty- how hollow he had been feeling until Buck was standing in front of him.
Eddie shattered Buck's heart two years ago, and as fate would have it they were once again face to face with each other. Will they be able to move on, or will hurt of the lies in the past tear them apart....again.

Summary
"Darkness surrounded him. He sobbed hopelessly into the deafening silence, unable to hear his tortured voice. His entire body ached and he felt as though he was suffocating, a crushing weight pressing against his chest from all directions.
Light gathered around him. A crescent-moon rose high in the sky.
No… Please, not again. He begged.
But his voice was silent, and the world moved without him."

Summary
With Ali, Taylor and Natalia it was simply a one time thing. Surprisingly enough, he didn’t even run into them afterwards and no one really showed the initiative for it happening again.
However, with Tommy, it’s a bit different. Falling in bed with him didn’t really end up being a one time thing. Buck kept crawling back to him, not because it’s Tommy, but because he’s the person that reminds Buck of Eddie the most.
Buck looks at Tommy and tries to catch a glimpse of Eddie, just to pretend that it’s his best friend he’s with instead of a man that broke up with him weeks ago. He looks in Tommy’s eyes and thinks of Eddie’s. He looks at Tommy’s smile and Eddie is the one that crosses his mind. In his head, Eddie is the person he sees instead.
(or: after Eddie leaves to go to Texas, Buck might or might not slightly fall back into some of his old habits, aka Buck 1.0 returns just for a little bit. At least until Eddie comes back to Buck again.)
