Summary
The person doesn’t respond, instead they move closer at an eerie and unhurried pace, as if there aren’t buckets of water falling to the ground right now. But the rain is probably the least of their concerns because it just bubbles around them, never seeming to actually make contact. It isn’t until they get closer that Stiles realizes he knows the person.
It’s… him. Stiles is looking directly at a mirror of himself.
His chest clenches. They’re only about ten feet away from each other now. Stiles stares at uh – Stiles B – and frantically covers as many of his bases as he can. Did he touch something at Deaton’s? No, and even if he did he’d only been working on a binding spell today, nothing nearly as serious as a duplication spell or call for a golem. Is he awake? Yeah. Well. Wait.

Summary
Down a side street and just off Flushing is a small cafe that caters to the needs of the caffeinated Supernatural. Stiles, a human with some ties to the not-so-human, stumbles across this shop by accident one day. He doesn’t expect to get attached to the workers and clientele, but attached he gets.
When a series of restrictions come into play to catch a serial killer, a good chunk of the inhabitants of New York find their lives upended on to someone else. And Stiles? He's transplanted into a new apartment; expected to watch his roommate for signs of suspicious activity. But how is he supposed to watch his roommate and avoid the attentions of a serial killer? There's only so much a guy can do.

“You don’t look like a sophomore,” the guy said, raising one corner of his mouth. “Not that I care, don’t get me wrong here, I wouldn’t care if you were thirty-” he stopped, standing up and throwing another box off his bed in the process. “It’s just that you don’t look like thirty. You just don’t look like a sophomore, that’s all I’m saying. Well, I thought I was going to be put in a room with another sophomore, like they did with the freshmen, which… doesn’t make that much sense in retrospect, does it?” He frowned for a moment.
“So, we’re roommates then, right?” He extended his hand. Derek looked at him for a long moment, his eyebrows shooting up, before taking and slowly shaking it.
“I’m Stiles. I actually wanted to be roommates with my best friend Scott, we shared a room last year, but the secretary, who was very, very unfriendly by the way, told us to fuck off. Not in those words exactly, but you get my drift, right?”In which Derek gets a new roommate and is not amused. At all.
