Summary
This starts off a bit after the opening dinner scene of Deathly Hallows Pt 1 when the muggle sympathizer is killed at the dinner table. Voldemort took a liking to the practice and now every time they're gathered they kill off one muggle/sympathizer, becoming a regular tradition.
Draco and y/n are forced to constantly witness this sacrifice, fighting to hold it togetherBoth their parents are in alliance with the Dark Lord whos aim is to purify the wizarding world of all muggle-born, the cult has tasked them both with betraying everyone they know and destroying the school from the inside out, beginning with fixing the vanishing cabinet.
The overwhelming guilt takes an unprecedented toll on the both of them. That, the endless manslaughter and stomaching constant pretences about their dedication in the cause, all to prevent being shoved six feet under.
Allowing themselves fleeting moments of peace with one another is their only source of comfort throughout the tortuous ordeal, their families alliance allows them to stay close together without raising suspicions, providing them a dim ray of happiness illuminated by each other's presence
