first half feels a bit like solving a mystery

feels very realistic, nothing over the top romantic too fast. authentic to the characters.

one of my all time favs, arguably one of the best in the ship. read this in the school bathrooms and had a good feeling about it from the first word... or maybe i should say a quiet, anticipatory, yet raw feeling, because that's how the whole fic felt. like dim lighting and finding comfort in an unfamiliar place. the author really has an eye for the finer details, especially bringing them back in relevant scenes (sugar!!! granules!!! on!!! lips!!!) and that's something i order in writing. beautiful work
