Set After 3 x 24: A Controlled Descent
Sherlock has been on the roof for three days, with a metal box in his pocket that reassures him he's right where he belongs. There's time yet before he confronts what happened, because it hasn't stopped happening yet. Why not watch his own descent from here, where everything is lovely and nothing can hurt him? Just a bit longer; there's still time.

She’s fine at first. The kidnapping, being held hostage, watching first her captor-patient and then the other members of Le Milieu drop dead in front of her were all events she couldn’t afford to process properly with more pressing matters hanging in the balance. Then both of the Holmes brothers flee New York and she finds herself no longer embroiled in matters of international diplomacy, and that’s when the nightmares start.
