Simon is a former prisoner of the Ninth house prison tasked with protecting necromancer Ryland Grace and his best friend/fossil bone construct on a dangerous mission to a planet full of mysterious necromancy. fun stuff ensues.

    My big complaint of Bloody Mary is that it doesn’t make *sense*. Hail Mary is beautiful realistic sci-fi that doesn’t mesh with eldritch gods. This fic fixes that!! Pop both these characters into a new setting that they both thrive in- Grace makes sense as a necromancer, and Simon as a fucked up prisoner of the ninth planet. Even Rocky’s character makes sense! I enjoyed the romance and the overall plot, good to reread when craving more Hail Mary or locked tomb vibes.
