Summary
Nostalgia’s claws dug so deeply into Sang-woo’s heart and mind that he subconsciously began to raise his own arm. Freedom was quite literally at his fingertips- all he had to do was take Gi-hun’s hand.
He couldn’t do it.

Summary
Sang-woo expects a sharp pain in his neck and warmth in his mouth as blood fills it, but it never comes. He cracks his eyes open to see Gi-hun is now crouched down significantly lower than he was before. He’s holding Sang-woo’s wrist in his shaking fist, determination written on his face.

Summary
Maybe in the future, when he and Gi-hun haven’t spoken in decades and their kids are off to college, he’ll reach out. He’ll conveniently bump into him when visiting his hometown with his wife, and they can catch up. They’ll sit at the same cafe they used to do homework at and talk about their lives. By then he’ll be in his mid-forties and over the feelings that plagued his youth. It was for the best.

Summary
Cho Sang-woo had never asked for things he had wanted, never let himself get driven by impulse.
Not even when it came to his deepest want in life; Seong Gi-hun.
It's better to keep away and listen to the rules his town has. After all, he's obligated to do so. He focuses on the mindset that it's better to "wait for the right time" rather than to go against outdated expectations.
But obligation and waiting are becoming too tiring.
Both for Seong Gi-hun and Cho Sang-woo.Bookmarked by igurolover

Summary
A small part of Gi-hun's eyes stayed bright. When Sang-woo noticed, the world stopped, and he couldn’t do what he was prepared to do. Warm droplets of rain fell down his face, and he begged that Gi-hun would walk away and end this, but he couldn’t leave him alone. Couldn’t leave anything alone.
Figures.
Sang-woo let out a shaky breath and took his hand.
An AU where both Gi-hun and Sang-woo end the game, but are subsequently left with nothing.
