By then he’ll be in his mid-forties and over the feelings that plagued his youth. It was for the best.

Charlie stared at him for a moment, as if he couldn’t believe Todd just asked him if he was doing alright. He was the last person he would have expected to ask something as dense as that. He clearly wasn’t. He shut everyone out and hardly spoke anymore. All his instruments collected dust in the corner of his shared room, no motivation to pick them up. No motivation to get out of bed for that matter. “I’ve been better.” He sighed.
