Lan Wangji has half a mind to be petty and petulant, given that Wei Wuxian has been so brusque, but he was raised to be polite. To take the higher ground. “I wanted to see you,” he confessses, a deeper truth than he’d been prepared to admit.
Wei Wuxian barks out a disbelieving laugh. “Well, now you’ve seen me. Are you satisfied?”
After a pause, Lan Wangji murmurs, “If I say no, what will you do?”
