Sasuke Uchiha was never meant to be a shinobi. In the shinobi world, being second born meant something. In the Hyuuga clan, it meant a seal on a forehead and a lifetime of servitude. In the Uchiha clan, it meant something different. Softness. Gentleness. Uselessness. Being cloistered away in the Uchiha district and away from conflict. Anything to prevent the sharingan from manifesting.
Or, the Hyuuga aren't the only ones who mark their own.
