Summary
The Champions opt to continue their game of questions—this time, with the whole team. And in the comfort of maybe hopefully not getting attacked by a friendly inside what they’re still loosely calling “headquarters.”
It turns out the answers are a bit more than they bargained for.
From The Champions (2016) with the original crew, inspired by issues 2 and 12. Takes place in some indeterminate time early on where danger is not immediately jumping down their throats.

Summary
It was easy to forget how little they knew about their leader. Scott's always there. Whether he was putting a stop to their shenanigans or keeping them safe he's constantly around. Somewhere along the line, they learned a few things about him. He was stiff, he was quick and intelligent, he worked hard. They hadn't realized how impersonal the things they knew about Scott were until they started learning more of the important things. The real, deep, character-defining things that told him why he was the young man they've come to know.
Even if not everything they stumble across is kind they're honored to know more about their friend.
-- or --
Six things the other X-Men didn't know about Scott Summers and one thing none of them ever questioned.

Summary
The world kept pressing at him like it wanted to see how far he could bend. If he would fold neatly into a new shape or if he would snap in half. It felt worse now than before. The fear he carried everywhere because he was a mutant joined by a new twisting in his guy whenever he was with Scott in public. He just wanted to relax but he couldn’t stop being scared. He knew one thing could happen and everything would fall apart. He wished he was still pulling the wool over his eyes, only at the same time, he was real glad he wasn’t.

Summary
In August of 1968, as protesters roil outside the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Charles Xavier quietly sends three Mutants to infiltrate the protests. Their mission: to calm the crowd, thereby preventing a riot. But Sage, Mimic, and Peace will soon find that it's nowhere near that simple.
Takes place in the same AU as Class of '64, and contains some light spoilers for those who haven't read that.

Summary
It's September 1963, and the world's first school for Mutants — the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters — has just opened its doors. By the end of the school year, the Mutant Registration Act will be law, half the faculty and students will be gone, and everyone will have to choose between their ideals and the practical demands of a world spinning out of control. Welcome to the class of '64. Hope you survive the experience.
My own personal spin on the X-Men origin story. An AU that incorporates elements and remixes plotlines from the movieverse and various comics continuities. No prior knowledge of canon required.

Bookmarker's Notes
I sit down on the bed and take a deep breath. Here's what's going to happen: I'm going to count to ten, and then I'm going to walk downstairs and have breakfast with the professor and everyone. I'm going to smile and be pleasant and not flinch if someone touches me and not say anything that makes people uncomfortable and not kill myself. And then the other students will come, and I will be polite to my new roommate and make friends or at least not make enemies.
Linda wanted a family with a dog to adopt her. She loved animals.

Summary
At the best of times, Scott’s ten pounds of screwed-up in a five-pound bag, but he never loses his head in a crisis, always knows the right thing to do, always considers things logically and looks for the big picture. Now, slumped on the edge of the hospital bed in the remains of his costume, their Fearless Leader--who always has another contingency plan, who can pilot an SR-71 through a lightning storm without breaking a sweat--suddenly seems very young and very scared.
A study in parallels.

The last two weeks have been a nonstop avalanche of fucked-up: mad scientists and friendly Egyptology professors who turn out to be supervillains, and robots, and honest-to-god fucking dinosaurs, and waking up tied to an altar with a knife against his neck, and his brother is fucking Cyclops; and if he’s been dealing so far, it’s only because he hasn’t taken the time to think about it all at once.

Summary
The photo is of a boy--maybe fourteen or fifteen--with dark hair and dark glasses. He’s slouched in front of an institutional backdrop, and it takes a moment for Hank to connect the living face to the autopsy pictures.
There’s something else familiar about the kid’s face, the shape of the mouth, and Hank is racking his brain, trying to figure out where he knows it from--a former student, maybe?--when Alex speaks up again, voice flat. “It’s my brother.”
Summers Brothers, lost and found.

Bookmarker's Notes
Below is a square, drawn on the floorboards in chalk--like children dividing a shared room, Charles thinks--a grotesque parody of the mind’s missing boundaries. The square is perhaps ten by ten, with no breaks in the lines, no doors: just layer after layer of chalk ground into the floorboards. As Charles draws closer, he can see writing inside, dense and uneven.
In the corner of the square, Scott is kneeling, hunched over, and Charles realizes after a moment that he’s scrawling something on the floor, moving gingerly to avoid smudging the text under his legs. jack is dead, Charles reads. i killed jack find out who “alex” is don’t open my eyes don’t let them take me back don’t let them take me back don’t let them-- If he registers Charles's approach, he makes no sign of it; Charles can't tell if he's unaware, or just indifferent.
