Summary
Soap, the youngest son of the elf king has always been told he had a special purpose for his family's rule, even though he is not in line to inherit the throne himself. He assumes he is to be made an army commander, or a dignitary, or even a political advisor. Instead, he learns he is to be forcibly impregnated by a hulking black dragon from the northern kingdom as part of a long-standing peace treaty in a cruel, humiliating ritual observed by members of both courts.
