Summary
Eddie can feel the goosebumps puckering across Buck’s skin. He’s torn between chasing that feeling, letting the goosebumps spread all over Buck's pale body—or rubbing his fingers over each individual hump and smoothing them out completely.
Eddie gives Buck a massage to help with the pain in his leg after he’s injured on a call. Things…escalate and they get their happy ending after all.

“Maddie thinks—”
Eddie looks at Buck, studying his regretful expression, waiting for him to continue. “…What does Maddie think?”
“She thinks… She thinks I’m in love with you—Which I'm not!”
Buck watches Eddie’s face fall, eyes cast down into his lap, face contorting and brows furrowing in something between sadness and confusion. “You’re not?”
Buck scoffs, “Jesus Eddie, is your ego so big that you’re upset I'm not in love with you?”
“Dios Buck. No, it's not that, I just… If I was gay I'd be in love with you. I dunno.” Eddie's eyes dart back and forth, cast downwards towards the table.
Buck feels his eyes widen in shock. “Really?”
“Yeah, of course, you’re my partner. You know I love you,” he answers at a volume Buck can barely hear over the commotion of a bar.
“Oh.”
“Sorry. I made it weird; you don’t need to be in love with me. That’s not fair to you.”
“Eddi—”
“Let's move on.”

Summary
"So what do we do tomorrow on shift when Eddie asks how the date went?" asks Val
"We tell him 'Hey, we tried but we're better off as friends'," Answers Buck matter-of-factly.
"Boo!" she jeers whilst throwing the stale bar pretzels at him. "Thats lame, why don't we... pretend we're dating?"
"Why would we do that?"
"To make Eddie jealous!" States Val with a michevious grin.
"Which will, never in a million years work." Buck has considered the possibility of Eddie loving him back, he's had the fantasies, but that's all they will ever amount to, fantasies.
"What's the harm in trying? Look, if it doesn't work, then I go back to the 112, we go our separate ways, tell him we're better off as friends. If it does work? You'll finally get your hunky firefighter and live happily ever after! Either way, no downside."
Buck hums in agreement, ruminating on the idea. Shes not wrong, its not exactly a win-win situation, more like win-neutral; but theres no loss really! Perhaps the 3 beers and 2 vodka tonics have impacted his decision-making more than he thought.

Summary
“Which jacket?” Eddie replies, voice carrying from the kitchen. Buck can hear him rummaging through the fridge, grabbing the last of the deli meats and cornichons for the finishing touches on their far too expensive charcuterie board. “You know, my leather bomber jacket with the red patch!”
Buck hears Eddie inhale through his nose sharply “I have no idea what you’re talking about…” he returns, in a high pitched, squeaky tone.
"C'mon Eddie you know the o—” as he walks out of the bedroom his eyes land on a very sheepish Eddie, tucked into the corner of the kitchen, adorned with the jacket in question. “No, no, no. No way, take it off,” demands Buck.
Eddie slips into a fake frown and begins stalking over to Buck. “Please sweetheart…” He stands in front of Buck, staring up at him with wide, sparkling, deep brown, and entirely manipulative eyes. “None of the other jackets work,” he groans, adding a flutter of his eyelashes and a pout to his lips for good measure.
OR
Established Buddie where Eddie loves stealing Bucks clothes; Buck is having none of it.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
