[Elizabeth has told Teyla that this is the Ta’uri time of winter holidays, that many of their people only ever bake their own cookies at this time, that they are elaborate towers of colored creams and star-dust sugars. She has shown Teyla pictures of her own from previous years, and the careful, loving hand is obvious. That she has brought the numerous supplies here is an honor that Teyla is well aware of, and she has offered up her own Athosian winter festival cookies as well. They are simple things, in contrast, mixed up in your hand and cooked on the same rack at the edge of the fire as most of their other starchy foods. The act of making, though, is the same across cultures, and happily shared.]
