He has his two best friends who have been with him through thick and thin. Plus, there's his donkey, though the rotten thing seems more content to try and kick him than listen to him.
He lives out in the countryside of bum-fuck nowhere (Yiling), and thinks he'll just live out his days there in peace until his dies.
Except the mountain in his hometown is cursed, and Wei Ying is friends with the (probable) ghost that haunts it.
