Summary
Sir Hans Capon is sent north to assist a minor noble with a mercenary problem. Henry, sworn to his service (unofficially, of course), is sent with him as escort, companion, and poor bastard who has to keep Hans alive despite his mouth.
To uncover the mercenary leader’s plans, Hans poses as a disillusioned noble eager to turn traitor; Henry, his hired sword. The camp is violent, lawless, and crawling with danger—but the real threat comes when Henry’s loyalty is tested and Hans is forced to betray him to save them both.
What follows is rescue, ruin, and a long, brutal return home. Duty demands silence. The Church demands penance. There's no convenient time to realise you're in love and probably damned for it. There’s guilt to carry, emotional injuries that don’t heal right, and a bond between them that might already be too sacred, or too sinful, to survive the light of day.

Summary
When Hans doesn't return to Pirkstein after a meeting with his uncle, Henry sets off into the snow and wind toward Rattay's upper castle to retrieve him. What he finds is a sour and maligned Sir Hans Capon. Ever the faithful servant and friend, Henry attempts to console his lordship and does his best to assuage his mood.
Or, to spite his uncle, Hans breeds Henry on the table on which Hanush eats his meals.

Summary
To spare the sword spirit without a master from death, Link accepts his offer and becomes his new master. Learning how to handle Ghirahim is more tricky than just getting a grip on a sword. Abandoned.

Summary
Link, a while after defeating Demise, returns to the Skyview temple. As if by a string of fate, he runs into Ghirahim there. Ghirahim, who it turns out is still among the living, has an offer for him.
Ghirahim is a powerful sword lacking a worthy wielder. Link is a powerful warrior without a worthy sword. Ghirahim thinks they can fix both these things.
(In which Ghirahim is a simple weapon with a lot of attitude and Link struggles at communication.)
