He reaches down and grabs Lü Dongbin’s wrist. “Show me,” he blurts.
Lü Dongbin blinks back at him, bewilderment written across his features.
Zhongli Quan runs his hand up the length of Lü Dongbin's arm, to his shoulder, to the back of his neck. He pulls him in until their foreheads are almost touching. “In these wild fantasies of yours,” he says, “show me exactly what you did to me.”
or, Zhongli Quan and Lü Dongbin reunite at the temple and worship each other on the altar (if you know what I mean).

Lü Dongbin’s hands come up to grip around his arms. “Zhongli Quan,” he repeats when Zhongli Quan doesn’t reply immediately. “Zhongli Quan, are you alright?”
“I’m al—” Zhongli Quan starts.
Iron pieces his nose, sharp and fresh. Alarmed, he looks down.
A patch of red darkens the sky-blue of Lü Dongbin’s robes, spreading slowly. The grip around his arms slacken.
Or: Lü Dongbin gets gravely injured, and Zhongli Quan must find a way to save him.
