He Yu watches as a line of drool escapes past the fabric, out of a corner of Xie Qingcheng’s mouth, and He Yu gets the sudden urge to catch it with his fingers. To draw the spit back up and into Xie Qingcheng’s mouth, pushing his fingers in alongside it to press down on that tongue that so often lays out scathing remarks and reproach. To press in further and see how far into Xie Qingcheng’s mouth he could reach before he choked.
He Yu feels oppressively hot at the neck at the thought of burrowing himself so deep into Xie Qingcheng’s body that he would be forced to relent. To allow him in. To hold him there alongside all the other guts and blood and marrow.
A home surrounded by gore. It would only be fitting.

We could talk about what the fuck Shane sees in you.
Ilya is still thinking about it hours later. In Shane’s dark bedroom, with the man in question snoring softly beside him, Ilya can’t let Hayden’s comment at dinner go.
In the moment, he didn’t process the jab as anything more than an excuse to take a cheap shot right back at Hayden. But now that the dust has settled on his first official conversation with Shane’s best friend, Ilya can’t forget the snide remark.
It’s not the first time someone questioned why someone like Ilya would be like someone with Shane. The first time anyone ever saw them as a couple, Shane’s dad made a comment about Shane being unable to find any ‘nice boys in Montreal’. Sure, they were still reeling from the shock of Ilya being more than a hockey player that runs his mouth more than not, but Ilya understands the implication. He is not a ‘nice boy’, not the kind of man that Shane deserves.

Summary
Once they’d bought everything they came in for (too much, really), they left together, having successfully avoided being recognized or mobbed by fans who would’ve no doubt been very confused to see Ilya in Canada for the summer. Wearing, Shane realized belatedly, a Metros t-shirt.
“That’s my shirt,” Shane pointed out as he started the car. He put his right arm across the back of Ilya’s seat as he backed out - his car had a backup camera, so he didn’t strictly speaking need to turn around, but he did a lot of things he didn’t really need to.
“It’s, ah- fuck. The expression…I find, I keep?” Ilya tried, giving him a toothy grin.
“Finders, keepers,” Shane said, laughing at him. “But I like your version better.”
Shane and Ilya host David and Yuna at the cottage, then have sappy feels-y sex once they go home.

The women of the world are outraged. The men of the world are baffled. No one can understand why Ilya Rozanov, whose abs have their own fan club, is wasting his time on ‘a piece of cardboard that wished to be turned into a real girl’ (this particular joke has 300k likes and counting).
Or: After a social media trend mocks Shane's sexting skills, he tries to improve them. It goes about as poorly as you'd expect.
