Summary
Stuck between pleasing her parents or honouring her inner child, Wren chose to re-spark her love of farming after her life fell apart. In the mits of rebuilding her identity, her idea of the future is challenged by a (over) confident, loud-mouthed trouble maker, forcing Wren to question what she is willing to work through to understand what is is to truly love and be loved.
Sam had coasted through his life, never challenged, never objected. Sure, his constant pranks on the mayor and less then smooth love life has come with consequences, but nothing has ever been serious to him, and he liked it that way. Until he sees the farmer, and for the first time in his life, is faced with a challenge and long lasting consequences.

**re-working some chapters as of 03/19/2024. Some little plot things will be changed but the overall story won't be too different :)
After turning down her boyfriend’s very public proposal and quitting her job, Elise returns to Pelican Town after 10 years. She decides she needs a fresh start, and what better place to do that than the only place that brought her any kind of joy in her childhood?
When she arrives, she rekindles old friendships, and at first seems to fit seamlessly back into her old life. When old feelings from the past get brought up though, she’s forced to face unresolved anxieties and problems that she thought were dead and buried. Covering for her best friend Sam seemed like the right choice at the time 10 years ago, but it ended up being the downfall of all of her relationships, and now everything’s changed. As she struggles to make a new home for herself, she hopes that she can settle back into a life that once felt familiar, and make it her own.
