Up close, he could hear the human’s thrumming heartbeat, heavy and fast, beating so enticingly, just for him.
He wanted attention - wanted this man’s attention, and he was eager to get it. He snapped forward, teeth dragging against skin, smooth beneath his lips where he felt the little bulging of his scratches, hitting bone, the edge of the jaw, and he finally let go. Scarlet red was oozing from where he had bitten too hard, was coloring his lips and distracting him for that short second.
