Summary
“Eddie, you’ve got a message,” Hen calls out casually.
Eddie turns around with a mouthful of cookie, a quizzical lift of his eyebrow and a quick wave of his phone. “That’s not me, my phone’s right here.”
Hen stops mid-page-turn and lets her gaze wander back to the phone on the coffee table even though the screen must’ve long gone dark again. “Then why was I just looking at a picture of your kid?”
Buck freezes, dough sticking to his hands.
Oh.
Oh no.
---
or: Buck didn't think twice when he set a photo of Christopher as his lockscreen. Eddie, however, spirals a little when he finds out.

Summary
“What do you say, should we really give them something to talk about?”
“What?” That was all I could get out, before I felt Noah’s hands at my hips and – to my complete and utter shock – his lips at the side of my neck. Just above the neckline of my – well, his – shirt.
The world around us vanished into total irrelevance. I couldn’t even tell what song was playing anymore. As if remote-controlled, I buried one hand in his curls and tilted my head back to give him easy access to my skin. Noah took this as exactly the invitation I had meant for it to be.
---
Hudson has been in love with Noah for years. The problem? Noah is a) his best friend and b) straight. Which makes it very overwhelming when sparks start flying at a party...

Summary
“You know it’s okay to be exhausted after a shift, right?” Eddie whispers, ducking back into Buck’s line of sight when he tries to look away. “You don’t have to pretend here, you know that.”
Buck makes a choked-off little noise. The kind that Eddie has learned means he’s trying hard not to cry. Eddie releases his grip on his face and pulls him against his chest instead. Buck goes easily. He buries his face in the crook of Eddie’s neck while one of Eddie’s hands comes up to cradle the back of his head the same way he used to cradle Christopher’s before he got “too old for hugs”.
“It’s okay,” he murmurs into Buck’s tousled curls. “I’ve got you.”
---
or: Eddie and Chris take care of their Buck after a bad shift.

Summary
“Not bad, Texas,” Buck grins as Eddie plops down on the barstool next to him. “But there’s no way that lead is gonna last.”
Eddie smirks at him around the lip of his beer bottle and Buck has to reign the impure thoughts back in real fast before they go somewhere he can’t follow.
“What, you think you can beat me?”
There’s a challenge in Eddie’s eyes, a teasing spark that Buck has never been able to resist.
“Oh, I could take you any day.”---
Or: Buck and Eddie bet on who can last longer on the mechanical bull. Cue intense pining, weaponized karaoke and a proposal via cowboy hat.
Or: the origin story of Buck's disco ball hat

Summary
„What the hell happened? I was gone for like ten minutes. That’s one All Too Well.”
Eddie hissed. „First of all“, he said, breath uneven, “I was shot. Hooks shot me.”
Ravi froze. Just for half a second. Then blinked at him.
“…I’m sorry, what?”
“Second,” Eddie continued, apparently deciding priorities were still a flexible concept, “what’s an All Too Well?”
OR Eddie only wanted coffee. Unfortunately, the universe had other plans.
