Summary
Joe steadies his palm at the nape of Cherry's neck, and eases his head back. He tries to ignore the soft arch of Cherry's throat, the way he moves, pliant and trusting under Joe's familiar touch. He's known Cherry was beautiful since he was sixteen, and this isn't the time. Instead, he focuses on gathering Cherry's hair into a ponytail, holding it loosely in one hand as he guides him back up.
Gold eyes blink open—and immediately scowl. "No, not like that, there are supposed to be —" he lifts his hands out of habit, and Joe carefully bats them away.
"Shut up, I'm not done," he smiles fondly as he kneels in front of Cherry.

Cherry closes the window with a shrug, "I couldn't sleep."

Summary
Pyro!Cherry started out as a throwaway line in a short story, and then a recurring joke in a discord server, and now here we are. But I swear there's tenderness, and longing, and a slow burn (no pun intended) love story in this series in addition to the recurring theme of "Cherry really liked to light stuff on fire as a teen."

“If you’re looking for another meal, I can warm something up for you,” Kojiro says, just for the glare Kaoru shoots him over his shoulder.
“You know why I’m here. I’m not looking for a midnight snack.”
Kojiro grins, shoving his hands into the pockets of his pajama bottoms. “Really? Could’ve fooled me.”
“Idiot.” Kaoru tosses his head. “Just shut up and kiss me before I decide this is a bad idea.”
Kaoru appears on Kojiro's doorstep in the middle of the night and lets himself be taken care of.

Summary
The first time Joe notices Cherry’s tongue piercing is at the onsen while they’re waiting for the rest of the crew to catch up. It catches him by surprise, as he always assumed the tongue ring had long been forfeit with the rest of his piercings when Cherry had decided to pursue a professional career outside of skating. But the shine of silver from inside his mouth brings a spark of excitement Joe hasn’t felt since they were younger, when Cherry’s face was covered in many small metal pieces and their lives had been much more carefree.
Or, in which Cherry keeps his tongue piercing and torments Joe with it. 5 times he blue balls Joe and 1 time he doesn’t.

“Is this Nanjo Kojiro?” an unfamiliar voice asks, calm and soothing. He narrows his eyes.
“…Yes?” he responds hesitantly, untying his apron. He hangs it on a hook next to the back door and heads back to the sink to wash his hands, the phone lodged between his ear and shoulder. “Sorry, what are you—”
“I’m the receptionist at Okinawa General Hospital,” the woman replies. “Your number was listed as an emergency contact for…Sakurayashiki Kaoru?”
Kojiro has almost forgotten about Kaoru by the time he gets a call from the hospital.

“Are you gonna help me or what?” Kojiro nearly growled, gaze flitting away from the honey irises that always saw right through him.
One hundred suckers could fawn at his feet, but Kaoru would always be completely immune to it.
“I said I would help you, and I am. I never promised to be nice about it,” Kaoru said, a smirk playing on his lips, prompting an eyeroll and smile from Kojiro.
