Nanase stuttered for a response, knowing his face was blossoming a bright red the longer he took. The warm hands that enclasped his own was like a butterfly gently landing on his hands. Light and endearing in a way. His hands shook, maybe too much but it didn't matter. What was there to hide from someone who could hide their emotions so well? What was there to hide when someone as deceptive as Hiori could easily spot what was wrong with him in the span of a few seconds?
Everyone told him to stay away, but he just couldn't. Nanase couldn't.

Tabito Karasu's dream was to be a knight, like his dad. There were so many perks of being the head knight like staying in the palace, eating good food and so much more. He didn't exactly expect to meet anyone special there. Maybe a peep at the royal family once or twice.
The first day, he suddenly had been entrusted to be the Prince's right hand man.
He didn't know how that happened but now, he's supposed to keep the royal Prince safe and keep him entertained. Well, it worked (at least, he thinks it did). Karasu did not imagine he would be his closest friend. But every time the word friend echoed in his head, it shot a loud crack in his head. He kept silent, ignored it. The feeling was not allowed - Karasu was meant to be sent off one day, maybe to die honourably in the battlefield. Otoya? Stay and produce an heir to the kingdom.
It never was meant to be. But why...

He lays his head onto the table, breathing in the alcohol all around them. It’s a bit comforting, probably because he’s often at bars, but the smell of alcohol calms him at times. That or the beer has finally decided to strike his mind.

“Karasu.” Karasu, Otoya thinks to himself, repeating the name in his head several more times. All while Karasu just stares at him from the space beside him, a note-worthy smile on his face. Pretty smile too, his mind hums. Otoya’s head shoots up and he shakes it, trying to get the thoughts out of his head. He didn’t need to think some random guy from the bar’s smile was pretty. Because he isn’t into guys and guys aren’t pretty.
Otoya wants to find his soulmate. Being colourblind sucks. So what happens when he finds out his soulmate is that guy he met in some random bar?

Karasu Tabito feels insane. Because why is he questioning himself at 3 in the morning about something as subjective as love?
Probably because he's in love with an idiot. But it really felt more like he's the idiot for bothering to fall for someone as unruly as Otoya Eita. He affects him in ways he didn't think were possible. He makes him go insane to the point he's turn to unhealthy ways to cope with his feelings. And the worst part is that he doesn't even seem to care. Or he doesn't notice.
He's on his bed in the dead of night, wondering about his stupid situationship with his best friend instead of the assignment he needs to get done for work. Shows him where his priorities are laid.
Karasu just wants it to stop. But he doesn't.

DAY 2 OF TABIEITA WEEK: Accidental Confessions
Karasu Tabito likes Otoya Eita.
There, he said it. He doesn't know why, but he's absolutely, utterly, disgustingly in love with that guy. The playboy of the century, his badminton partner and worst of all, his best friend. Whipped, some people would call him. But he wouldn't ever admit it in front of Otoya himself. There is no way he would like him back.
Either way, Karasu is happy with their little friendship.
But it changes. One day, their little friendship shatters. Why? How did it even happen? Everyone (No one really, but Karasu himself) begs Karasu for the answer but he couldn't give it to them. No - it simply was too shameful for him to ever mention it to anyone.
So he only hopes that one day, he'll have Otoya Eita back. And he's willing to wait for that - no matter how long it'll take him.

Yukimiya and Eita continued with their silence, one that Eita deemed neither comfortable nor uncomfortable. It was like a grey area because he'd never felt more calm than he had in the past hour yet he could still feel the lingering tension wafting across the air between him and the model.
He stared out the window, watching the sky start to tear up. Its tears slid down the window of the limo, making its way to a part of the car door he wasn't able to see anymore. And so he did for a few more droplets, his mouth refusing to open back up after his last statement. His fingers gently traced the racing droplets of water - the condensation allowing him a clearer view of the outside.
It was 11:35 pm exactly. The very time where the lamp posts would continue their buzzing lights until it reached the crack of dawn. The streets were empty apart from the stray dog running and ducking into an alley to hide from the rain or the occasional car that passed by them.
And worst of all, it was cold. Eita was a cold person, but he'd never enjoyed the cold much.

Yukimiya Kenyu had always said sorry. Late to a study group? Sorry. Had to cancel because he had a modelling gig? Sorry. Doesn't like the person who confessed to him? Sorry. Everything he did seemed like some kind of mistake he needed to fix with a "sorry". Every time his eyes caught that of his friend's relationship, envy bubbled from within. The feelings for both were mutual - the only "sorry"'s being used after every really terrible argument they had. And that was rare.
He wanted to stop saying sorry. Or at the very least - he wanted them to have some kind of meaning.
