Summary
She doesn’t want to explain it. It’s bad enough when she wakes up in the middle of the night and realizes that she’s stained her sheets, and soon after realizes that she has to snoop around what was basically a house of strangers to look for bandages and some clean rags because it’s the middle of the night and she doesn’t want her newfound found family to wake in the morning and find blood on her sheets. She had stuffed the nearest available cloth she could find, which was a piece of sleeve she had torn off from one of her hoodies, down her pajama pants and ran up the stairs in search of anything resembling fresh, clean rags and some disinfectant and soap. Now, she’s caught head mid-snoop inside one of the family’s cabinets as the family’s patriarch stands paused in the kitchen doorway, having been awoken by the commotion he heard moments prior. Snooping is never as quiet as you need it to be. Anne looks towards Hop Pop, desperately trying to find an excuse that’ll explain the whole situation to him.
“I can assure you…it’s not what it looks like.”
(Anne has an incident and Hop Pop takes care of her)

Summary
Sprig wakes up holding back a scream. He’s drenched in sweat despite the chillness in the room, and no matter how hard he tries, he can’t stop shaking. He still feels like he’s falling.
It takes him a few deep breaths before he notices he’s not alone. Across from him, Sasha sits at the war table, distracted from her mission planning by the rustling in the corner of the room he’s somehow managed to tucked himself into. He hastily wipes the tears from his eyes and turns to face her.
“Sorry.” And he means it. “Didn’t mean to disturb you.”
or: Sprig has a nightmare and Sasha is surprisingly the one to offer him comfort.

Summary
She turns the page, expecting more typical Marcy banter, and frowns at what she sees. It’s a sketch of her and Marcy. Presumably, Marcy had drawn it when she and Anne had separated for the night, Anne heading to the hotel and Marcy back to her room in the castle, but that’s not what’s on Anne’s mind. Everything about the sketch is normal, except…
…her and Marcy are holding hands.

Summary
So why is it that she’s here, sitting at the lunch table with her study partner, ears burning red as the speakers blare some vague, generic love song with none other than the Sasha Waybright standing in front of her?
“Call me crazy,” her study partner whispers, “but I think Waybright’s asking you to prom.”
Impossible, Marcy thinks, her heart fluttering wildly in her chest. That can’t be what’s happening, cause Sasha is supposed to ask Anne like she’s always talked about. I accepted this already, what– what is she doing?
“Marcy Wu,” Sasha croons, and everyone is watching them, eyes on the most popular girl in school as she makes her move, setting the stage for promposals all across the board. “Will you do me the absolute honor of being my date to prom?”
~~
or: sasha attempts to ask marcy to prom, over and over and over again.

Summary
"Listen, kid, I don't know what happened to you nor where you come from, but... If you need a place, here you have one. As long as you don't throw your shit on my yard again, of course." The man stares at the chocolate wrap laying on the floor, making Sasha shift her focus there, too. "I have food, an extra bed and a shower. And, speaking of that... Here you go, your face and hands are full of chocolate."
He pulls out a handkerchief from his pocket and hands it to her. She squints her eyes, suspicious, and slowly cleans herself, glancing at him all the time.
"How can I know that I can trust you?" She spits.
"You can't."

Summary
“We should kiss.”
Anne did not mean to say it like that. Not that she doesn't want to kiss the two of them! She definitely wants to do that a lot, actually. However, the sentence came out all wrong. It’s embarrassing really, how her voice strained, jumbling out words and excuses that she herself did not think through at all. It was supposed to be perfect, y’know? All smooth and charismatic, but it ended up sounding so impulsive.
Anne Boonchuy's own personal rom-com! yippeeeeee!!!!
