Summary
Four years after taking over the dojo when her father passed away, Kaoru's well-ordered life is disrupted by a number of unexpected changes: her childhood friend is leaving to confront an enemy of his past, her surrogate mentor has announced his departure which means losing a quarter of paying students, and a scheming CEO seems determined to get the dojo land at all costs by invading every aspect of her life. With circumstances working against her, Kaoru will find out if she'll buckle under the pressure or rise above it all.

"With the Wild Hunt, no one knows what they’re capable of. They’re not alive like you and me, but they’re able to hurt and kill us with their otherworldly weapons. They can come and go as they please between our two realms, and usually herald some sort of doom. They don’t have the best of reputations, but the Hunts aren’t always led by the same leader, either.” Hiko set the pot down, apparently satisfied with the glaze, and shot him a stern look. “One thing everyone knows and should never forget is that they are dangerous. When that woman comes searching for you, your best bet is to keep wandering and don’t stay in one place for too long.”
Kenshin sighed and flopped down on the blanket, folding his arms behind his head. “For how long?” he murmured.
If Hiko heard the despondency in his voice, he didn’t comment on it. “For as long as you want to live,” he replied bluntly.
